Common questions

How do I log an attack? Tap the large ring button on the Today tab. Attack Mode is deliberately dim and silent: log onset, pain and medication in a few taps, then end the attack from the same screen (or from the Live Activity) when it's over. You can also log from the Lock Screen widget or your Apple Watch.

Why don't I see insights yet? Halo only reports patterns it can support statistically: it needs at least 8 attack days and 30 tracked days before any correlation is shown. This is a deliberate honesty rule, not a bug. Keep logging and the insights will arrive.

How does iCloud sync work? Sync is optional and uses your own private iCloud database; we operate no servers and cannot read your diary. Turn it on or off in Settings. Details in the privacy policy.

How do I export or delete my data? Settings → Export gives you CSV at any time, and the doctor report builds a PDF. Deleting the app deletes the on-device database; if sync was on, also remove Halo's data in iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. Open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app tap your profile picture → Subscriptions. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring a purchase on a new phone: open the paywall and tap "Restore purchases", and entitlements follow your Apple Account.

A note on what Halo is

Halo is a tracking and comfort tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or predict illness. Bring its reports to a clinician you trust.
