Every tag in the app links its own source on the screen that makes the claim. This page is the same list in one place.
Fennel's food list was written from published, openly available sources. No commercial food database is bundled, licensed or consulted, and the app claims no certification by anyone. Where the sources disagree or do not cover a food, Fennel leaves it untagged rather than guessing.
Some rows in the food list are marked as under review while a registered dietitian works through them. They carry the same citations as every other row and were written by the same rules; the flag records that a professional has not yet signed that specific row off. It is recorded openly rather than hidden, and the queue is being worked through.
The seven level scale in the app is Fennel's own, with original artwork and original plain English descriptions, and it is labelled simply "Stool form". It is not a reproduction of any published scale.

Corrections from clinicians and dietitians are particularly welcome and go in the next data build. Reporting an error needs no account and no purchase.
