Privacy Policy

The short version: Disky collects nothing, because it sends nothing to anyone.

What Disky collects

Nothing. There is no account, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising identifier and no crash reporting service. There is no server belonging to this app, so there is nowhere for your information to be sent even in principle. The app contains no networking code at all, and a check in its build fails if any networking symbol appears in it.

Your photos and videos

Disky reads your photo library to find identical and similar photos, old screenshots, large videos, blurry shots and the video halves of Live Photos. Everything it works out about a picture is worked out on your phone and stays there.

It never uploads a photograph or a video anywhere, and it never opens one that lives only in iCloud: a picture that is not already downloaded to your phone is counted as unread rather than fetched.

Nothing is deleted by the app itself. Every clear is handed to iOS, which raises its own confirmation, and nothing moves unless you confirm it there. What goes moves to Recently Deleted, where you can put it back.

Your contacts

Contacts are read only if you open the People screen and allow it, and they are never needed to use the rest of the app. Before any merge, the app writes a vCard backup of the contacts involved into the Files app on your device, so you can undo a merge yourself. Nothing about your contacts leaves the phone.

Your calendars

Calendars are read only if you open the Dates screen and allow it. The app removes duplicate events when you ask it to. It never adds or edits an event, and it does not delete a calendar you subscribed to: it names the ones that look like spam and leaves them for you to remove.

What stays on your device

All of it is in the app's own container on your device. The developer cannot see any of it.

Notifications

Disky sends one kind of notification, once a month, and only if you switch it on: how much room is left. It carries no alarm about your storage and nothing else. It is scheduled on your device and no server is involved.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. Disky never sees your payment details. Apple tells the app whether the Pass is held, and that answer stays on your device.

Children

Disky collects no data from anyone, of any age. There is no account to create, no profile, no messaging, no advertising and no link out of the app to anywhere a child could be taken.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the change will appear here and in the app's release notes. A version of Disky that started sending data anywhere would be a different app to the one described here.
