Privacy Policy
Dalil collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no server. Every verdict is computed on your device against a dictionary that ships inside the app, so reading a label makes no network request at all.
What stays on your device
- Ingredient lists you photograph or paste. Read on the device. Camera frames are processed and discarded; no photo is written to disk.
- Your history. The headline and status of each reading, on this device only, and gone when you clear it or delete the app.
- Your pantry. The ingredients you chose to keep, by name.
- Your ruling positions. Which side of each divergence topic you follow. This is the most personal thing the app holds and it never leaves the device.
What we never collect
No name, no email, no contacts, no location, no advertising identifier, no device identifier, and no record of anything you looked up. There is no crash reporting SDK and no analytics SDK in the app.
Search on your device
Dalil adds its ingredient dictionary to your device's own search index so that typing an E number into system search finds the entry. Only the bundled dictionary is indexed. Your history and your pantry are never added to it.
Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Dalil never sees your payment details. The app stores only whether a purchase is active, on your device.
Children
Dalil is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Since nothing is collected there is nothing to migrate, delete or request.
Contact
