Dalil is information, not a fatwa and not a certification. It shows what named public rulings and regulatory identity facts say about an ingredient, with a link to each source, so you can read them yourself. It does not certify any product and it is not a substitute for your scholar or for a certifier.

What the app does

Dalil reads an ingredient list you photograph, paste or type, matches the printed names against a bundled dictionary, and shows a status with the evidence behind it: what the ingredient is, what rulings say, who holds each position, and which of your own settings applied. Where honest rulings differ, both are shown and neither is presented as the answer.

Limits you should know about

Purchases and subscriptions

Your content

Text you paste and photographs you take stay on your device. We never receive them, so we cannot use them for anything.

Liability

Dalil is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the app, including a purchase you make or decline to make on the basis of what it shows. If you need certainty about a product, ask its certifier or your scholar.

Corrections

If an entry is wrong, tell us and we will fix it or demote it to unclassified. See the corrections page. Wrong entries are worse than missing ones, and we would rather ship a smaller honest dictionary than a larger guessed one.
