Privacy Policy

The short version: Litmus collects nothing, because it sends nothing anywhere.

What Litmus collects

Nothing. There is no account, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising identifier, and no crash reporting service.

What stays on your device

All of it is stored in the app container on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted, and the developer cannot see any of it.

Camera

Litmus reads barcodes and ingredient panels using the camera. Frames are processed on the device by Apple frameworks and are never written to your photo library, never stored by the app, and never uploaded. Litmus asks for camera access only when you open the scanning screen.

Network

The app target contains no networking code. This is enforced automatically: the build fails if a networking symbol appears anywhere in it. The only network activity is Apple handling a purchase or restore if you choose to buy Pro, which is Apple sending Apple your purchase, not Litmus sending anything to us.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. Litmus never sees your payment details. Apple provides the app with a receipt confirming the purchase, which stays on your device.

Children

Litmus is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the change will appear here and in the app release notes. Any version of Litmus that starts sending data anywhere would be a different app to the one described here.
